Meet The Mentors
Evelyn C. Rysdyk
Once described as “ ...part storyteller, part minister, part scientist and part fairy godmother," Evelyn C. Rysdyk is the author of several noted books on shamanism including, The Norse Shaman, Spirit Walking: A Course in Shamanic Power, A Spirit Walker’s Guide to Shamanic Tools, The Nepalese Shamanic Path (with Bhola Banstola) and Shamanic Creativity.
Along with her writings, Evelyn is an impassioned shamanic teacher and storyteller with over thirty years of experience working with people who are eager to grow and experience their true power. She has been a featured instructor for The Shift Network, for Sounds True and other online teaching venues. She is the founder of the Spirit Passages Academy and the New Humans • New Earth Summit.
Evelyn’s personal shamanic path unfolded in 1980 when she first began journeying. Since that time she has studied with both western, core shamanic shamanic teachers and indigenous shamans from Nepal, Peru, Tuva and far eastern Siberia.
Whether through face-to-face contact with individual clients, workshop groups, and online participants, or through the printed word, Evelyn uses her loving humor and passion to open people’s hearts, expand their awareness and inspire them to live more joyful, fulfilling, and purposeful lives. She acknowledges that as people awaken their full selves, they are much more likely and able to make their unique contributions toward positively transforming our world.
C. Allie Knowlton
Allie’s professional life began as a pastor of rural churches in Maine. After that time, she spent many years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a specific focus on spiritual/energetic sensitivities, family systems and abuse. From there she moved into shamanism and shamanic healing.
She is co-founder of Spirit Passages and Spirit Passages Academy with her partner, Evelyn Rysdyk. Together, they have offered workshops and training programs across the United States, and Canada. Along with teaching, they have also worked with individual clients for over thirty years.
She studied shamanism with Michael Harner, Sandra Ingerman and several Indigenous shamans including Puma Quispe Singona from Peru, Ai Churek from Tuva. Grandfather Mikhail “Misha” Duvan from southeastern Siberia, and has also hosted Bhola Banstola from Nepal for seven years.
Much of the wisdom Allie wishes to share in this course is from her ongoing relationships with her “spirit staff” with whom she intentionally deepened relationship in 1986.

She is committed to the belief that as we each do our part in partnership with our spirit helpers, we are participating in a transformational time on our planet that brings new balance and harmony to the Earth and beyond.
