Shamanic Journey Buddies
In our last Shamans’ Bag, we gave you a free guide and audio drumming track to start your own shamanic journey practice and also shared the myriad of benefits you receive from developing a personal shamanic journey practice. These benefits include actual life enhancements that are supported through the way rhythmic shamanic drumming stimulates four brainwave states, simultaneously.
On another note, it’s also useful to have other people with whom you can journey to support a healthy journey practice while also experiencing even more powerful life enhancing benefits to support you in thriving.
Having what we call, “Journey Buddies” is incredibly powerful to supporting you and your journey practice for a number of reasons:
1 - You have someone to share your journeying experience with and one who will reciprocate by sharing theirs. This makes the process more engaging and likely that you’ll follow through in doing your practice as a regular feature in your life.
2 - You can learn from each other’s experiences.
3 - After you’ve journeyed on your own question for support from your Spirit Guides or Power Animal, you can journey on each other’s questions to provide the perspective of your teachers to each other. Like getting a shamanic second opinion!
4 - When an issue feels “too close to home,” to trust your own journey, you can have your buddy check in with their teacher on your behalf.
5 - You can broaden your knowledge on a topic by having a message from a buddy’s teacher. As each spirit has a different way of offering wisdom, it can be amazingly powerful to get their perspective on an issue.
Our Dramatic, 🧙🏽 Magical ✨
and Life Changing Journey Buddy Story
We have a dramatic yet magical example story for you. Thirty-two years ago, when we were renting our home with the option to buy, the landlady called to say that her situation had changed, and she needed us to either buy the home now or leave. This really rocked us back as we at that point hadn’t the $30,000 down payment money as Allie’s home in the mountains hadn’t yet sold.
We journeyed on our own which led to discovering a path to acquiring the down payment money by requesting a “gift for a loan” to a wide group of our friends with whom we had trained in shamanism for three-plus years. We asked them to journey on the request to be sure they were doing the right thing for themselves. About 20 people responded with checks. The final bit came in cash from another of our journeying friends.
Then we had another one of our journey buddies, who has very clear journey skills to have her power animal check for anything the house inspector might have missed before we closed the loan. Her bear (Power Animal) found a flaw in the foundation and the beginning of a leak in the oil tank. The landlady agreed to have them fixed and the sale went through.
A very short time later, Allie’s house sold, and we were able to repay the money our buddies had loaned us. In the repayment process, one of the buddies told us that the money she had lent us was something she had ear-marked to assist her sister in leaving an abusive marriage, when she was ready to do so. When that friend got her repayment from us, her sister called and told her that she was ready to leave.
As you might have guessed this entire episode became a huge trust deepening process. Not only did we have the joyfully humbling experience of having journeying friends willing to help us out, but we also had the profound confirmation of our own journeys. In some perspectives, it seems quite magical!
We encourage you to find shamanic journey buddies in your home area for in person connection if that’s your preference yet if you find that difficult to find, Journey Buddy relationships can also be nurtured quite profoundly by choosing to connect more deeply with those you meet online like in our New Humans New Earth Online Spirit Walking Community.
The people don’t have to live near you as our group of journey buddies is spread all across the world and we connect virtually spreading the elevation of humanity like the mycelium of mushrooms. Some of us have met years ago and grown older together while still having strong bonds even with the physical distance that is between our physical bodies. Other members of the community have been with us only for a short time and already share how much they love the community!

The opportunity to share in real time with others who are journeying has been so much more important than I had thought it would be. I was shy about it the first few times but it is fantastic.”
Remember, whether in person, phone or the internet the more you practice the process and journey for each other, your trust of the journeying practice, of your spirit teachers and power animals; and the enhancements you receive from the process, will grow!
